GACC has three computer labs; one at the primary school and two at the high school. Each lab is equipped with approximately thirty internet-ready computers. Each primary classroom is equipped with five to six computers for student-use. The high school has laptops available for students to check out for school-related use and every teacher has his/her own laptop. All computers are a part of the school network.
Each classroom is equipped with a Promethean board.
Each primary class attends computer classes once or twice a week. Classroom teachers also schedule additional lab times throughout the week to work on various projects connected to the different curriculum areas.
In grades PK-3, computer software and the Internet are used to integrate technology into the curriculum. Keyboarding skills are first taught in 3rd grade and continue throughout 6th grade. During computer classes for grades 6-8, students are instructed in word processing, spreadsheets, graphs, presentation software, and Internet use skills. These skills are taught to the students because they are effective tools in their educational process.
